The Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance (GIPA), in conjunction with its startup ecosystem partners, is pleased to present the GIPA Startup Awards. The purpose of the GIPA Startup Awards is to further the success of promising early-stage startups by providing monetary awards and recognition in the Georgia intellectual property ecosystem.
Three monetary awards will be awarded. While it is strongly encouraged that the awards be spent on intellectual property, they may be used for other startup business purposes.
FIRST PLACE: $5,000
SECOND PLACE: $3,000
THIRD PLACE: $2,000
All startups applying for the award must meet the following criteria:

Incorporated entity (i.e., LLC, C-Corp, sole proprietorship) that is headquartered in Georgia

Raised less than $100,000 from accredited investors (not including grant awards or friends and family contributions)

Member of a GIPA startup ecosystem organization (Atlanta Tech Village, Georgia Research Alliance, Innovation Gateway at UGA, Tech Alpharetta, VAXA Factor, Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative)
Recipients of the award will be announced at a GIPA event in December 2023. More details coming soon.
