The Corporate Intellectual Property Roundtable (CIPR) provides an exclusive member forum for in-house IP professionals to exchange information, ideas and best practices about managing an IP portfolio.
CIPR Membership Benefits
Each year begins with the Corporate IP Roundtable Kickoff, featuring a global IP leader as speaker and opportunities for members to network with each other and IP thought-leaders. This event is open only to members, sponsor representatives, and special guests.
After the kickoff event, roundtable meetings are regularly held both virtually and in-person to discuss various topics of interest. A few example topic areas include:
- IP inside the company, including incentives, senior management buy-in, culture, internal public relations, training and employee/vendor agreements
- IP marketing, including prioritization, licensing and selling
- IP enforcement/defense
- IP asset development, including prioritization, quality, cost and timeliness
Other CIPR Benefits
CIPR members also receive two (2) free registrations to the annual Corporate IP Institute, a premiere 2-day CLE that focuses on the issues most relevant to in-house IP counsel.
Corporate Intellectual Property Roundtable® memberships are for operating companies only.
Companies represented at CIPI in the past include: AT&T, C.R. Bard, Chick-fil-A, Cisco Systems, General Electric Company, The Home Depot, IBM, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, McKesson, Newell Rubbermaid, Southern Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. and UPS.
