The Intellectual Property Community Service Awards were initiated in 2010 by the Georgia State University College of Law's Intellectual Property Advisory Board. The program transitioned to the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance upon its founding in 2018. [Click to Register!](https://blog.gaipalliance.org/events/ip-community-service-awards) #### Award Criteria  In the spring of the year of the awards, a call for nominations is made asking for individual names and an explanation of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Nominees should:  - **Be a member of the IP** community, such as an IP attorney, paralegal, assistant, educator, business person, entrepreneur, inventor, or otherwise involved with intellectual property in their career or other endeavors; - **Demonstrate a commitment to community service** with a longstanding record of, or recent significant contribution to, the community; - **Successfully motivate others to contribute** to community service; and - **Display a high degree of ethics**, professionalism, and character.
